In the state of New South Wales, located a convenient six kilometres east of the Sydney central business district, is the suburb of Point Piper. It is a small, harbourside eastern suburb that is governed by in the Municipality of Woollahra.

Point Piper was named after Captain John Piper, who was a Scottish-born military officer who arrived in the colony in 1792. After some time in the area, he eventually sold his properties at Point Piper, Rose Bay, Neutral Bay, and Petersham and moved to the country.

Point Piper is a coastal suburb of Sydney, which is located at a distance of about 6 km from the Central Business District of Sydney. The suburb’s proximity to the central business district and its location makes it one of the prime locations in Sydney. Point Piper belongs to the local government area of the Municipality of Woollahra. Point Piper is a very posh residential suburb of Sydney. Wolseley, which is in Point Piper, is one of the most expensive streets of Sydney and this road is considered the ninth most expensive streets in the world.

Point Piper is surrounded by Port Jackson, Rose Bay, Bellevue Hill, Double Bay and Darling Point.
